Season 15 of ER was premiered on September 25, 2008 and the season opener was entitled ‘Life After Death’. In the beginning of the season, we saw that the ambulance had been exploded and the season began with the devastating consequences of the accident. Gates came to know that it was Pratt, not Sam, in the ambulance and it was enough to make him to rush to the scene. We saw that Pratt had got several injuries and was brought back to County Hospital. The whole staff at ER started working to alleviate his condition. Abby woke up and came to know that her wrist had been broken but not caring for that she moved to see how others were. She later misdiagnosed the case of a mother and daughter who’re rushed into the hospital after the explosion.

Later, a carotid tear developed and it resulted in the death of Pratt. Abby had plans to leave Chicago. Second episode of season was entitled ‘Another Thursday at County’. Here, we saw that it was the first visit of a new batch of interns and new head of ER. Dr. Banfield’s tough attitude made the whole Hospital staff to feel defensive. On the other hand, Gates and new interns tried to save the life of a terrorist which might have an effect on their own lives. Neela continued her fight to get Dr. Dubenko back on the surgery staff.

Third episode of season was entitled ‘The Book of Abby’. Here, we saw that Abby got a job in Boston and was trying to leave for Boston quietly. And, the hospital-staff made her realize how much they’d miss her. At the end of the episode, we saw Abby saying goodbye to everyone and leaving for Boston along with Luke and her son. Then came the episode entitled ‘Parental Guidance’. Here, we saw that Banfield was not satisfied with interns’ performance so he decided to introduce a new system. Each of the interns got a mentor. Daria was paired with Gates; Ryan accompanied Morris and Tracy was with Brenner. Brenner informed Tracy the way he wanted to go ahead but she had her own plans and ways to proceed. Next to it was the episode entitled ‘Haunted’. Sam had to prepare for a pharmacology exam which made Gates to feel neglected. We next saw that a school fight resulted in stabbing. Brenner treated the victim and was also trying to find out the truth behind the story.

Neela got a surprise from Morris. It was Halloween night and Gates got locked in a stairwell with a young guy. Next episode in row was entitled ‘Oh, Brother’. Banfield’s husband Russell was insisting on a visit to his parents and it made her upset. Morris’ favor of Chaz over the senior interns resulted in a trouble for everyone. On the other hand, Gates asked Sam and Alex to move in with him. Then came the episode entitled ‘Heal, Thyself’. In the episode, we met a critically ill child who was brought in ER. It made Banfield to deal with the consequences of past. A past encounter with Mark helped her to confront her own issues. Losing his first patient was not a small thing for Neela’s intern and he was seen struggling to cope with the circumstances. Then came the episode ‘Age of Innocence’. Here, we saw that a man acquitted of child molestation was brought into ER, after he got burned in a house fire. Later, the man showed an interest in a young girl which made his brother-in-law to beat him viciously. While treating the man, Brenner became emotional which made Morris to confront him. Neela was not happy with the performance of an intern and the things reached up-to a boiling point.

Meanwhile, Dubenko was seen teaching her a lesson about importance of teaching. On the other hand, Gates continued her search of a missing intern. Then came The Episode entitled ‘Let it Snow’. Here we saw that Banfield and Morris got stuck at a doctors’ conference in Omaha and that happened due to heavy snow. In such a situation, it was Gates who was taking care of the children. Alex got injured after his car crashed into the storm. We next watched the episode entitled ‘The High Holiday’. At the ER doorstep, there was an unexpected packet for Morris from his father. A pregnant woman, with a high risk pregnancy, was under treatment and the lady was in danger of getting deported. On the other hand, Sam told Gates that she and Alex would move out soon. Next to it was the episode entitled ‘Separation Anxiety’. In this episode, we saw the Hospital staff treating two brothers who’re shot during a drug deal. Dr. Banfield and her husband were trying to sort out their family issues.

While treating the patients, Sam and Gates had a war of words. Then came the episode entitled ‘Dream Runner’. Neela was seen dealing with her threatening dreams. Next episode in row was entitled ‘Love Is A Battlefield’. A youngster was hit while riding her bike and Morris was treating her. On the other hand, we saw that it was not easy for Gates to see Sam going away. Meanwhile, Neela came to know that Brenner had returned from Australia. Then came the episode entitled ‘A Long Strange, Trip’. After discovering that a former mentor was seriously ill, Dr. Morgenstern visited County General. Meanwhile, Sam’s sister made an informal and unexpected visit. Gates and Morris were seen treating an elderly man who was found assaulted on street. A patient’s diagnose was more than enough to shock Brenner. Next episode of season was entitled ‘The Family Man’. In this episode, a mother got severely injured by a car accident. Neela talked about the offer in North Carolina to Brenner.

The very latest episode of ER season15 was aired on February 19, 2009 and it was entitled ‘The Beginning of the End’. It was Valentine’s day and we saw that Neela was enthralled by Brenner. On the other hand, Banfield had serious plans to get a baby and the hard point was to get her husband on board. On the other hand, Neela performed a surgery on young girl’s mother. Dr. Carter made a surprise visit whereas Gates was treating a, somehow, strange patient. The next episode to be aired on is entitled ‘T-Minus-6’ and it’d be aired on February 26, 2009. Here, we’ll see that Banfield, frustrated with the failures of vitro fertilization, would turn towards an adoption agency. It would be shocking for Sam to see his mother into ER. Following it would be the episodes ‘In Times of Old’ and ‘What We Do’ etc.
